About the Speaker

Dr. Jordan A. Krall is a postdoctoral fellow in the lab of Dr. Robert A. Weinberg at Whitehead Institute. Dr. Krall received his undergraduate degree from Amherst College, a Master’s degree from the University of Oxford, where he studied as a Rhodes Scholar, and his Ph.D. from Harvard University. Dr. Krall’s research interests are centered on systemic mechanisms that regulate cancer progression. His current focus is on the systemic impact of the wounding and subsequent wound-healing response that follows the surgical removal of primary tumors. By identifying mechanisms through which surgery can promote tumor growth, he aims to identify therapeutic approaches that can be used to minimize the unintended, negative side effects of tumor removal.
