January 23 in NYC: “Chameleon Cancer Cells” with Dr. Christine Chaffer

Join us on the evening of Wednesday, January 23rd at Bonhams in Manhattan for a special event with renowned cancer biologist Dr. Christine Chaffer. Dr. Chaffer will discuss “Chameleon cancer cells: Changing behavior to promote cancer progression,” followed by Q&A and a cocktail reception.

A graduate of the University of Melbourne, postdoctoral fellow Dr. Christine Chaffer joined Whitehead Institute in 2007 to study under the tutelage of world-renowned cancer biologist Dr. Robert Weinberg. Dr. Chaffer has since established herself as a leading expert in breast cancer biology and cancer stem cells (the cells that enable cancers to spread)—and her work has yielded remarkable new insights into cancer development, progression and metastasis.
