November 5: 2011 Annual Colloquium “Then & Now”

This year’s Annual Colloquium, entitled “Then and Now: Breakthroughs in Understanding Human Disease,” will be held on Saturday, November 5, 2011.

Annual Colloquium on November 5, 2011

The Colloquium will feature Dr. Robert Weinberg’s and Dr. Susan Lindquist’s career-long efforts to understand the fundamental biology of cancer and Alzheimer’s disease. The scientists, both winners of the National Medal of Science, will talk about the genesis of their work—and discuss recent advances that have brought us closer than ever to new treatments for these devastating human diseases.

In addition to presentations and Q&A’s with Dr. Weinberg and Dr. Lindquist, this full-day event will include an address from Director David Page, research overviews and laboratory tours (attendees will have the option of visiting the Lodish, Ploegh, Sive or Young labs), as well as cocktails and dinner with members of our faculty.

This event is reserved for members of the Board of Associates and special invited guests; however, if you are interested in attending, we encourage you to contact Sonja Plesset at (617) 258-5103 or for more information.
